While visiting Elephants Crossing, expect to face an abundance of wildlife. The lodge is located in the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, which lays in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is dominated by different veld types and has characteristic mountainous bushveld areas. Its variety of vegetation lead to more than 50 species of mammals and over 300 bird species to be found in the reserve. The lodge is unfenced. You could be lucky to bump into a zebra or klipspringer on the way to your accommodation.
